2018-2019
During the 2018/19 term, the Nine elaborated documents with recommendations on those topics:
- Effectiveness of CERN’s structure for the future: We have analysed the challenges on CERN’s efficient functioning associated to CERN’s ambition to undertake future large and mid-scale programmes on-site, in parallel to the operation and upgrades of current programs, a critical consolidation program and supporting a large community of users.
- Preserving CERN’s attractiveness for recruitment: We have studied the factors relevant for CERN’s attractiveness to improve attraction issues for certain staff categories and demographic groups.
- Administrative workload: We have analysed the processes defining, implementing and performing CERN’s administration and its impact on the scientific and technical core assignment.
- Career perspectives: We have analysed the rotation of roles and staff mobility to preserve CERN’s attractiveness and dynamic, multi-skill learning.
- Diversity/disability: We have examined how CERN can meet modern standards for the physical, organisational and social support of disabled staff and users.
- Gender diversity: We have studied ways to improve awareness of gender and inclusiveness issues, so that it is implicitly integrated in the behavior in the CERN work environment.
